Action Grants
2023 “What I Saw” Fenwick-Hollowell Wetlands Trail Community Art Project and Exhibit
College of the Albemarle and Arts of the Albemarle, Elizabeth City, NC
Empowering young people
We believe young people have the power to build a better world by making change happen right in their own communities. And we want to help.
The Green Saves Green Action Grant program is for students, educators, and youth group leaders and organizations who have an idea for a local environmental project, a plan, and want to take action.
Maybe you want to reduce plastic use at your campus. Encourage more and better recycling. Promote using reusable products. Help pollinators. Or have a creative way to get people outdoors to enjoy our beautiful trails and waterways. We want to help you succeed.
Grant Guidelines
Green Saves Green is looking for environmental projects in Camden, Pasquotank, and Perquimans counties that align with our mission of Learn, Share, Protect, and Enjoy. The project proposals should fill a need in the local community, and must include youth engagement. Projects are expected to be completed within a year, but could be extended if needed. Grants will be awarded up to $500. Depending on the project, larger grant requests will be considered.
Educators, youth group leaders, and students can apply for a grant any time by completing a short application. Grant approval is ongoing throughout the year.
