Plant a Valentine Free Tree Giveaway
In partnership with the NC Forest Service, we’re giving out 500 native eastern redbud, flowering dogwood, and sycamore bare-root seedlings. The seedlings are dormant in winter, and not much to look at now. But plant them in your yard and watch them grow into beautiful trees. Stop by any of these locations and pick up your free trees. First-come, first-served.
Let’s clean up!
9-11 a.m., Saturday, March 1, 2025
Help us get our city streets and downtown parks looking their best before thousands of runners and visitors arrive for the U.S. Coast Guard Marathon. The focus will be downtown Elizabeth City, but if there are enough volunteers we’ll send people to clean up other areas of the race route. All supplies will be provided to those who need them. Bring your own if you have them. No need to sign up. Just show up. We’ll meet at Waterfront Park.
